Okay, so I wanted to make a trad goth outfit on DTI, but I didn’t want to use any VIP items. It was a bit of a challenge, but I think I pulled it off. Here’s how I did it.
First, I started with the basics. You know, the stuff everyone has. I picked a simple black dress. I think it was called “Basic Black Dress” or something super obvious like that. Nothing fancy, just a plain, long-sleeved black dress.
Layering is Key
Then, I dug through my stuff for some layering pieces. I found this kinda ripped-looking black shawl. It’s not really a shawl, more like a…big piece of ripped fabric, but it works! I added that over the dress to give it some texture and that whole “I just crawled out of a crypt” vibe.

Next, I needed some boots. I went with some plain black combat boots. Again, nothing special, just your standard, everyday boots. I wanted them to look sturdy and like I could stomp around a graveyard in them.
For accessories, I kept it simple. I found a black choker – just a plain black band, nothing with spikes or anything. And then I added some black fishnet stockings. They’re a little torn, which I think adds to the whole look.
Finishing Touches
I played around with the makeup a bit. I used the basic black eyeliner and some dark lipstick. Nothing too crazy, just enough to make it look goth, but not like I’m going to a full-on concert.
Finally, I checked everything over. I made sure the layers looked okay and that nothing was clipping weirdly. It’s all about those small details, you know?
And that’s it! A super simple, non-VIP trad goth outfit. It’s not perfect, but it definitely gets the point across. I think it proves you don’t need all the fancy, expensive stuff to make a cool look. You just gotta be a little creative with what you’ve got!
