Okay, here’s my personal journey diving into the world of witchcraft sigils:
So, I’ve been seeing these “witchcraft sigils” things popping up all over my social media feeds, right? Intrigued, I decided to give it a shot. I mean, who doesn’t want to add a little magic to their life? Here is what I did.
Getting Started (My Super Basic Research)
First thing’s first, I needed to figure out what the heck a sigil even is. I did a simple search, skimmed a few sites, and basically got the gist: it’s like a symbolic representation of a desire or intention. You create it, charge it, and then…well, hopefully, magic happens. Seemed simple enough.
Crafting My First Sigil (The Messy Part)
I decided my first intention would be something simple: “I want to be more productive.” Groundbreaking, I know. Now for the fun part – actually making the sigil.

I grabbed a pen and paper, because, low-tech, and started by writing out my intention in plain English. Then, following some basic instructions I found, I started crossing out all the vowels. Next step after removed the vowels, I removed all the duplicate letters. I was left with a jumble of consonants, I’m not even going to pretend it was pretty. It was all downhill from there.
I stared at these letters, trying to “intuitively” combine them into a symbol. Seriously, I felt like I was back in elementary school art class, except with way more pressure. I sketched, erased, sketched some more…It was rough.
Eventually, after a solid 20 minutes of messing around, I had something that kind of looked like a symbol. It wasn’t elegant, it wasn’t particularly artistic, but it was mine. I decided to roll with it.

Charging the Sigil (Feeling a Little Silly)
Now came the “charging” part. I read a bunch of different ways to do this, from meditating on the sigil to burning it (safely, of course!).
- stared at my sigil
- closed my eyes
- take a deep breath
- focused really hard on my intention, visualizing myself being super productive.
I have to admit, I felt a little ridiculous sitting there, staring at this scribbled symbol and trying to infuse it with magical energy. But hey, I was committed at this point!
The Aftermath (Waiting for Magic)
And…that’s pretty much it. I put my charged sigil somewhere I’d see it often (taped to my laptop, because, priorities), and now I’m just…waiting.
Has it magically transformed my life? Not yet. Have I been a little more productive today? Maybe? It’s hard to say. Placebo effect is a powerful thing, after all.
But regardless of whether it actually “works” in the magical sense, I found the whole process kind of…fun. It was a nice little creative exercise, and it forced me to really think about what I wanted to achieve. So, even if I don’t become a productivity wizard overnight, I’m calling it a win. I might even try making another one!
