Okay, so I’ve been seeing these gorgeous crystal trees all over my Sims 4 groups, and I just had to figure out how to get them in my game. Seriously, they’re so magical-looking! It took a bit of digging, but I finally got it sorted, and now my Sim’s garden looks like a fairy wonderland. Here’s how I did it:
Finding the Right Stuff
First things first, I needed to find the actual crystal tree. This isn’t something that comes standard with the game, so it’s all about custom content (CC). I spent a good hour just browsing different Sims 4 CC sites.
I started my quest, diving deep into the world of Sims 4 custom content. I hit up a bunch of the usual spots, and after a bit of scrolling and searching, I was able to hunt some down. Some of these were part of bigger “magical garden” sets, which was a nice bonus!
Getting it into the Game
Once I’d downloaded a few, I had a bunch of files. I am not good at this step, so this step took me a while.

Then, I had to actually get them into my game. This part is usually pretty easy. I just:
- Opened up my File Explorer (or Finder, if you’re on a Mac).
- Found my “Downloads” folder – that’s where all the CC files ended up.
- Opened another window and found my Sims 4 “Mods” folder. It’s usually in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.
- Dragged the files from the “Downloads” folder straight into the “Mods” folder. Easy peasy!
Placing it in the Game (The Fun Part!)
With the CC all installed, I fired up Sims 4. I went straight into Build/Buy mode, and that’s where things got interesting. I:
- Went into buy mode.
- Searched for “crystal” and crossed my fingers. And there they were! All the pretty trees I’d downloaded.
- Started placing, I went a little crazy. I put them everywhere! By the pond, lining the pathways, even a few in the house for a mystical vibe.
Enjoy the Ambiance
Now, my Sim’s yard is seriously magical. It gives the whole place the fantasy and is dreamy, I love it! And the best part is, when the light hits those crystals just right… chef’s kiss Perfection.

Honestly, it was way easier than I expected. If you’re thinking about adding some sparkle to your game, definitely give crystal trees a try. Just be prepared to spend a bit of time hunting for the perfect ones – there are so many options out there!
