Okay, so I’ve been seeing these witchcraft necklaces all over my feed, and I finally decided to give it a shot and make my own. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey, but totally worth it!
Gathering My Supplies
First things first, I needed to get my hands on some supplies. I hit up my local craft store – you know, the one with all the beads and shiny things? Yeah, that place.
- I grabbed some thin, black cord. I wasn’t sure if I wanted something thicker, but this seemed like a good starting point.
- Then, I spent like an hour just staring at all the charms. Seriously, there were so many options! I finally settled on a little silver crescent moon and a tiny, clear quartz crystal. They just spoke to me, you know?
- I also picked up some small silver jump rings and a clasp. Gotta be able to actually wear the thing, right?
The Construction Process
Alright, time to actually put this thing together. I’m no jewelry expert, so this was a bit of trial and error. I started by cutting a length of the black cord. I just kind of eyeballed it – wrapped it around my neck to see how long I wanted it, then added a few extra inches for good measure.
Next, I used the jump rings to attach the moon charm and the crystal to the cord. This was a little fiddly, I’m not gonna lie. My fingers felt huge, and those rings are tiny. But I managed to get them on there without dropping anything (major win!).
Then came the clasp. I attached one part of the clasp to one end of the cord using another jump ring, and the other part to the other end. Again, fiddly, but I powered through.
The Finished Product!
And… done! I put it on, and honestly, I was pretty stoked with how it turned out. It’s simple, but it has that witchy vibe I was going for. I’ve been wearing it all day, and I feel like it adds a little something extra to my outfit. Plus, it’s kind of cool to know that I made it myself, you know?
I might try making some more with different charms and crystals. It was actually pretty fun, and now I have a unique necklace that I really like. If you’re thinking about making one, I say go for it!
