Okay, so I’ve been totally obsessed with the whole gothic Victorian aesthetic lately, especially for guys. Think dark colors, tailored fits, and a touch of that brooding, romantic vibe. I decided to try and put together a look myself, and let me tell you, it was a journey!

Diving In Head First
First, I scoured the internet, I mean, hours. I looked at tons of pictures, read some blogs, even watched a few videos. I wanted to get a real feel for the essence of this style, you know?
The Hunt for Clothes
Next, I hit the thrift stores. Seriously, this was key. You’re not gonna find this stuff just anywhere. I spent a whole Saturday afternoon digging through racks and racks of clothes. It was kinda like a treasure hunt, actually.
- I found this amazing long, black wool coat. It was a little big, but nothing a quick trip to the tailor couldn’t fix.
- Then I stumbled upon this dark, almost navy blue, waistcoat. It was perfect!
- Shirts were tougher. I ended up getting a couple of plain, white, high-collared shirts from a regular store. I figured I could always add some details later.
- I looked for a bow tie.
Putting it all together

I have some black trouser that I wore. I put on my black boots too.
This whole thing was a bit of an experiment, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s definitely a statement, and it really makes you feel a certain way when you wear it. I’d totally recommend giving it a try if you’re into this style. Just be prepared to put in some time and effort – it’s not exactly something you can just throw together in five minutes!
