Hey everyone, today I’m gonna share my little project of crafting a “crystal glass apple tree”. It’s not as complicated as it sounds, trust me! I’m no pro, just a regular dude who likes to tinker around.
Getting Started
First things first, I needed to gather my materials. It’s kind of put together whatever I found.
- Clear glass beads: These are for making those shiny “apples”. I got a bunch of different sizes for some variety.
- Some bendy wire: I used some I had for a long time, you know, the type you can easily twist and shape.
- A sturdy base: I just grabbed a small, flat piece of wood from my garage.
- Glue: Super glue, because it worked.
- Some green paint(Optional): If you want, you can paint it.
Building the Tree
Next, I took the wire and started twisting it into the shape of a tree. Think of it like drawing with wire. I started with the trunk, then made some branches going upwards and outwards. No real plan, just kinda winged it!
I kept wrapping wire around the base and building it up. I made sure to leave some of the wire ends sticking out on the branches. These are where the “apples” will go. I also added extra wire where I felt it needed more support.

The key is to make it look somewhat like a tree, even if it’s a bit wonky. It’s handmade, it’s not supposed to be perfect!
Adding the “Apples”
Now for the fun part! I took the glass beads and started attaching them to the wire ends on the branches. A tiny dab of super glue on each bead, then I carefully pressed it onto the wire. Hold it for a few seconds to let the glue set.

I placed the bigger beads towards the bottom of the branches and the smaller ones towards the tips. I think it just looks more natural that way. Keep adding beads until you’re happy with how full your tree looks. It is all by your feeling.
Finishing Touches
Once all the beads were on, I took a step back to admire my handiwork. I decided the base looked a bit plain, so I paint it. Nothing fancy, just make it looks good.
The Result
And there you have it! A homemade crystal glass apple tree. It’s not perfect, it’s a bit wobbly in places, but it’s mine, and I think it looks pretty cool! It catches the light nicely and adds a bit of sparkle to my room. A really great experience!

This was a fun little project that didn’t require a lot of skill or fancy tools. Anyone can do it! Just mess around and have fun.
