Okay, so today I decided to get my hands dirty and actually try out some of those “witchcraft spells” I’ve been reading about. I’m a bit of a skeptic, but hey, why not have some fun, right?

Getting Started
First things first, I needed a quiet space. I chose my little back garden – it’s got a nice, earthy vibe. I figured that would be better than, like, my messy kitchen.
Then, I gathered my “ingredients”. I didn’t go full-on, cauldron-and-newt’s-eye crazy. Instead, I kept it simple:
- A candle (white, because the internet said it’s good for “general purposes”)
- Some dried herbs (I used rosemary, ’cause I had some in the spice rack, and it supposedly symbolizes “remembrance”)
- A small bowl of water
- A piece of paper and a pen
The “Spell” Itself
I found a simple “intention setting” spell online. Basically, it’s about focusing your energy on something you want to manifest. Sounded harmless enough.

I lit the candle, and the little flame flickered. Kinda peaceful, actually. Then I crumbled some of the rosemary in my hands – smelled pretty good! – and sprinkled it into the water.
The next step was to write down my intention on the paper. I thought for a bit, and instead of wishing for a million dollars (too cliché), I wrote: “I want to feel more confident in my work.” Felt honest.
I folded the paper, held it over the candle flame (carefully!), and then dropped it into the water with the rosemary. The paper soaked up the water and sort of… disintegrated. Poetic, right?

The Aftermath
Honestly, I didn’t feel any zaps of magical energy or anything. But, sitting there in the quiet, focusing on what I wanted… it felt good. Like, I was actually doing something proactive, instead of just worrying.
I let the candle burn down (supervised, of course – safety first!). Then I poured the water and soggy paper bits onto the soil in my garden. Kind of a symbolic “planting” of my intention, I guess.
Did it work? Well, I don’t know yet. But I do feel a little more… centered. Maybe it’s the placebo effect. Maybe it’s the rosemary. Maybe it’s actual witchcraft! Who knows? Either way, it was a fun little experiment, and I might just try another one sometime.
