Okay, so the other day, I got this wild idea to mess around with dream journaling and, like, actual witchcraft. I’ve always been into the whole mystical vibe, and I figured, why not combine them? So here’s how it all went down.
Getting Started
First, I grabbed a fresh notebook – gotta have a dedicated space for all this, right? – and put it right by my bed. I also dug out this old, kinda dusty book on witchcraft I’d picked up at a used bookstore ages ago. It’s got all these spells and rituals, some of which seemed pretty chill and beginner-friendly.
The Dream Journaling Part
- Every morning, the second I woke up, I jotted down anything I could remember from my dreams. Even if it was just, like, a color or a feeling, I wrote it down.
- It was tough at first! My dreams are usually super blurry and fade fast. But I stuck with it, and after a few days, I was remembering more and more.
- I started noticing patterns, too. Like, I kept dreaming about water, which was kinda weird.
The Witchcraft Bit
After about a week of dream journaling, I decided to try a simple ritual from the book. It was supposed to help with “dream clarity” or something. Here’s what I did:
- I lit a white candle (because the book said white is good for purification and stuff).
- I held a small crystal – I think it’s quartz, but I’m not 100% sure – and focused on my intention to have clearer, more meaningful dreams.
- I said a little chant from the book. It felt kinda silly at first, but I went with it.
- Then I blew out the candle and went to bed.
Mixing It Up
After doing a simple spell, that night I dreamt of being on water.

I made sure to use the crystal and white candle again before going to sleep.
Then for the next few nights, I kept doing the same candle-and-crystal thing before bed, and I kept diligently writing in my dream journal every morning.
I am now on my seventh day of doing this practice, and I find myself recalling a lot more of dreams.

Did It Work?
Honestly? I think so! My dreams felt way more vivid after that first ritual. And the water theme kept popping up, which made me think maybe there was some connection between my subconscious and the, uh, “magical” stuff. I’m still figuring it all out, but it’s been a pretty cool experiment so far. I’m gonna keep at it and see where it leads!
