Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this whole “reiki witchcraft” thing for a bit, and I figured I’d share what I’ve been up to. It’s been a pretty interesting ride, so buckle up!
Getting Started
First off, I’m not, like, a master at either reiki or witchcraft. I’m just a curious person who likes to try new things. So, I started by doing some basic research. You know, Googling stuff, watching some YouTube videos, the usual. I wanted to get a feel for both practices separately before I tried smashing them together.
I already had some experience with reiki from years ago, and more recently with witchcraft separately, So I picked up where I left off, I got my dusty reiki books down and started practicing the basic hand positions and self-healing techniques. It was all about getting the energy flowing again, you know? Feeling that warmth in my palms, that tingling sensation. That part felt pretty familiar and good.
Diving into Witchcraft
The witchcraft part was a little newer to me. I’d been dabbling in candle magic and some basic spell work, but nothing too intense. I decided to focus on spells that felt aligned with reiki’s healing energy. Think along the lines of protection, positivity, and clearing out negative vibes.
I found this cool spell for creating a protective energy shield. It involved visualizing a white light surrounding me, which, hey, is pretty similar to what you do in reiki anyway! I also experimented with charging crystals with reiki energy before using them in spells. Seemed like a natural fit.
Combining the Two: My First Experiment
So, here’s where things got interesting. I decided to try combining reiki and witchcraft during a simple self-healing session. I started with my usual reiki hand positions, focusing on my solar plexus because I’d been feeling a bit anxious lately.
As I felt the reiki energy flowing, I started visualizing a warm, golden light filling the space. Then, I incorporated a little chant I’d written – something simple like, “I am filled with peace and strength, all negativity is released.” It wasn’t anything fancy, just words that felt right.
I held the visualization and the chant while continuing the reiki. Honestly, it felt… amplified. Like the reiki was boosting the intention of the spell, and the spell was giving the reiki energy a specific direction. It was pretty cool!
Further Tinkering and Results
Since that first try, I’ve kept experimenting. I’ve tried:
- Using reiki to cleanse my tarot cards before readings.
- Incorporating reiki symbols into my candle magic.
- Doing mini reiki sessions on my plants while whispering affirmations for growth. (They seem to be thriving, so maybe it’s working!)
Overall, I feel like combining reiki and witchcraft has added a new dimension to both practices. It’s made them feel more personal and powerful. It’s like they’re working together to create something… more. I am definitely more at peace, and my intuition feels much stronger these days.
I’m still learning and figuring things out, but it’s been a fun and rewarding process.
