How to Make Coffee Scented Candles?

How to Make Coffee Scented Candles? | GothicStyle.online

Alright, alright, let’s get this straight. You wanna make them coffee-smellin’ candles, huh? Not a bad idea, not bad at all. Smells a whole lot better than that barnyard mess, I tell ya. So, listen up, ’cause I ain’t gonna say it twice.

  • First things first, you gotta get your stuff together.

Don’t go runnin’ around like a chicken with its head cut off. You need wax, yeah, the kind they use for candles. Don’t go grabbin’ that stuff from your ears, that ain’t gonna work. And you need them coffee grounds, the used ones are just fine, don’t be wastin’ good coffee. And some kinda oil, I guess. They say somethin’ about somethin’ that lasts long, so don’t go usin’ that bacon grease, even though it smells mighty fine.

Step one, meltin’ the wax. Now, be careful, you don’t wanna burn the house down. Put that wax in a pot, a double boiler they call it, I think. It’s like one pot inside another one with water. Heat it up slow and easy, don’t rush it. You don’t want no fire, unless you’re burnin’ brush, then go ahead, make it a big one!

    • Step two, mixin’ the coffee.
Once that wax is all melted and lookin’ like water, dump in them coffee grounds.

Not too much, not too little. Just enough to make it smell like a good cup of joe. And that oil, too, a little bit will do ya. Stir it all up good, like you’re makin’ gravy, but don’t go lickin’ the spoon, wax ain’t tasty.

    • Step three, gettin’ them containers ready.

You can use old jars, cups, whatever you got lyin’ around. Just make sure they’re clean, nobody wants a dirty candle. And if you got them wicks, stick ’em in the bottom of the jars, make sure they stand up straight, ain’t nobody got time for a crooked wick.

    • Important stuff to remember:
    • Don’t burn the house down.
    • Don’t use too much coffee, or it’ll be a mess.
    • Don’t use too little coffee, or it won’t smell like nothin’.
    • Don’t lick the spoon, that wax ain’t for eatin’.
    • Step four, pourin’ the wax.

Carefully, carefully, pour that melted wax and coffee mix into your jars. Don’t spill it, or you’ll have a mess to clean up, and nobody likes cleanin’ up messes, especially not me.

    • Step five, waitin’ game.

Now you gotta wait. Let them candles sit and cool down. Don’t touch ’em, don’t poke ’em, just leave ’em alone. It takes a while, but good things come to those who wait, or so they say. I’d rather be out in the garden, but this candle thing sounds kinda fancy, so I’ll wait a bit.

    • Step six, lightin’ ’em up.

Once them candles are hard and cool, you can light ’em up. And there you go, coffee-smellin’ candles, made ’em yourself. Now your house will smell like a coffee shop, instead of… well, you know.

Now, some folks say you gotta let the coffee sit in the oil for a week or two, shakin’ it every now and then. Says it makes the smell stronger. I guess you could do that, if you got the patience. Me? I like to get things done. But if you want that extra strong smell, go ahead and steep that coffee, just like you’re makin’ a real strong cup of coffee, but for your nose instead of your mouth.

And if you ain’t gettin’ enough smell, they say you can add some of that candle smell stuff, the fragrance they call it. I don’t know nothin’ about that, but if your candle ain’t smellin’ strong enough, give it a try. Just don’t go usin’ too much, you don’t wanna choke yourself.

So there you have it, how to make them coffee-smellin’ candles. Easy as pie, well, maybe not that easy, but you get the idea. Now go on and make some candles, and make your house smell good. And if you mess it up, well, that’s your problem, not mine. I told you how to do it, didn’t I?
