Okay, so the other day, I got this kinda crazy idea to mess around with dream journaling and, like, basic witchcraft. I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of dreams meaning something more, and I’ve dabbled in some simple spells before, so I figured, why not combine them? Here’s how it all went down.
Getting Started
First, I grabbed a notebook and pen. Nothing fancy, just something I could keep by my bed. The whole point was to write down my dreams as soon as I woke up, before I forgot everything.
- Notebook
- Pen
- My sleepy self
I also decided to do a simple protection spell before bed. I just lit a white candle, held it for a bit, and visualized a white light surrounding me and keeping me safe while I slept. Super basic, nothing complicated.
The Dream Part
That night, I actually had a pretty vivid dream. I remember being in this weird, overgrown garden with talking animals. Seriously. A squirrel told me to follow a path made of glowing stones. It was bizarre.

As soon as I woke up, I grabbed my notebook and scribbled everything down. All the details, even the weird ones. The talking squirrel, the glowing stones, everything. It took a few minutes, but I managed to get it all on paper.
Trying to Make Sense of It
Later that day, I looked back at what I’d written. Honestly, it still seemed pretty random. But I tried to find some symbolism. Gardens often represent growth, right? And maybe the glowing stones were about finding my own path? I’m not sure, but it was fun to think about.
And I found some related imformation from the Internet and other resources.

The Witchcraft-y Bit
Then came the slightly witchier part. I decided to create a small charm based on my dream. I found a small, pretty stone and painted it with a glowing symbol (I used glow-in-the-dark paint!).
The idea was to carry it around with me as a reminder to trust my intuition and follow my own path, like the glowing stones in my dream. I also burned some herbs, Focus on the glowing symbol I created.

Did it Work?
Honestly, I don’t know if it “worked” in any magical way. But it did make me feel more connected to my subconscious. And it was a fun, creative way to explore my dreams. I’ve kept up the dream journaling, and I even made a few more charms based on other dreams. It’s become a cool little ritual for me.
It’s definitely not a perfect system, and I’m still figuring things out. But it’s been a fun experiment! Maybe I’ll try a more elaborate spell next time, or focus on a specific intention before I go to sleep. Who knows! That’s the fun of it, right?
