Okay, so I’ve been seeing “gothic fashion women” trending everywhere, and I finally decided to give it a shot. I’ve always been a little bit intimidated by the whole “goth” thing, but it looked so cool, I had to try!
First Steps: Gathering Inspiration
First, I scrolled through a ton of pictures online. I mean, tons. I wanted to get a feel for what “gothic fashion” even meant these days. Was it all just black clothes? Spikes? I needed a starting point, right?
Experimenting with Clothes
- I dug through my closet. I already own a lot of black, so that was a good start.
- I found a long, black, flowy skirt I’d forgotten about. Score!
- I paired it with a black lace top I had. Hmm, not quite there yet.
- I added a simple black belt.

The Makeup Makes a Difference
Next, the makeup. I’m no makeup artist, but I watched a few quick tutorials. Dark eyeshadow and dark lipstick seemed to be the key.
- I went for a smoky eye look – badly, I might add, but hey, I’m learning.
- I tried a deep red lipstick. It felt a little…vampire-ish, but in a good way?
Putting It All Together and Feeling It Out
I put the skirt, top, belt, and makeup all together. I looked in the mirror, and… I actually liked it! It was definitely different from my usual style, but it felt kind of powerful and mysterious.

I did feel that I miss * I add fishnet stockings and black boots. It’s so cool.
This whole “gothic fashion” experiment was surprisingly fun. It’s all about playing around and finding what makes you feel good. I’m definitely going to keep experimenting with this style!
