Okay, so I’ve been wanting to try out a trad goth look for a while. I finally decided to just go for it. Here’s how it all went down.
First, I scrolled through a bunch of pictures online. Just to get some ideas, you know? I wanted something that felt classic, but still kinda me.
Then, I hit up my closet. I already had some black clothes, thankfully. I found a long, black, kinda flowy skirt that I thought would be perfect. I also grabbed a black, lacy top that I’d totally forgotten about.
Digging Through My Stuff
- Skirt: Long, black, flowy – score!
- Top: Black lace – even better!
Next, I rummaged through my jewelry box. I found a chunky, silver cross necklace and some silver rings. That seemed pretty goth, right?
The makeup was the fun part. I went with a classic smoky eye, and, of course, black eyeliner. Lots of it. I also used a dark red lipstick to finish it off.

Putting It All Together
I put on the skirt and top, then added the jewelry. I looked in the mirror, and… yeah, it was definitely working! It was giving me that old-school goth vibe I was going for.
I slipped on my clunky black boots to really give it the classic goth look.
Honestly, the whole process was pretty easy. I mostly just used stuff I already had, which was cool. It definitely made me want to experiment with different looks more often!
