Okay, so I’ve been wanting to spice up my living room for a while, and I finally decided to go for it with a “witchcraft decor” theme. It sounded cool and mysterious, and I was super curious to see how it would turn out.
Getting Started
First, I spent a good chunk of time just browsing online.I was just looking for anything that caught my eye – colors, textures, objects, anything witchy, really.
Gathering Supplies
I made list on my phone of things I thought I’d need:
- Dark-colored candles (black, deep purple, dark green)
- Some crystals (I had no idea which ones, so I just picked some that looked pretty)
- A few old-looking books
- Maybe some dried herbs or flowers
- A cool-looking cauldron (because, why not?)
- A wooden box and other things.
The Fun Part: Putting It All Together
I started by rearranging my existing furniture a bit.I moved my bookshelf to a more prominent spot because I wanted it to be a focal point. Then, I placed the dark-colored candles on various surfaces – the coffee table, the windowsill, and a couple on the bookshelf itself.

Next, I arranged the crystals around the candles.I put a larger amethyst cluster near the biggest candle and scattered some smaller quartz points around the others.I found an old wooden box I had lying around and used it to store some of the smaller crystals and other trinkets.
The books were easy – I just stacked a few on the bookshelf, making sure the titles were somewhat visible (even though I probably wouldn’t read them). For the dried herbs and flowers,I bought at the local store. I found a small, dark-colored bowl and filled it with a mix of lavender, rosemary, and some dried rose petals. The smell was amazing!
The cauldron, which I found online after a lot of searching, I placed on the floor near the fireplace. It looked really cool and added a touch of drama to the room.

The Finishing Touches
I felt like something was still missing, so I decided to add some wall decor.I draped some dark purple fabric over a section of the wall, and it instantly made the room feel cozier and more witchy.I looked really great.
The Result
Honestly, I was surprised by how much I loved the final result! It’s definitely a different vibe than what I had before, but it feels so much more “me”.It’s cozy, a little mysterious, and just makes me happy to be in the space. I spent a whole weekend on this, but it was totally worth it.
