Okay, so I’ve been totally obsessed with gothic ouji fashion lately. It’s like, the perfect blend of Victorian elegance and edgy coolness. I decided to finally give it a shot and put together an outfit. Let me tell you, it was a journey!
Finding the Pieces
First, I scoured my closet. I already had a few things that might work, like a black vest and some dress pants, but I knew I needed more. I spent a good chunk of my weekend hitting up thrift stores. It was a total treasure hunt!
- I found this amazing ruffled white shirt – score! It had a slightly worn look, which actually added to the vibe.
- Then, I stumbled upon a pair of black breeches. They were a little big, but nothing a belt couldn’t fix.
- The real find was a long, black, almost velvet-looking jacket. It had these cool, ornate buttons. I was so stoked!
Putting It All Together
Back home, I laid everything out on my bed. It was time to see if this would actually work. I started with the basics:
- The white, ruffled shirt.
- The black breeches.
Then I added the black vest over the shirt. It was already looking pretty good! I cinched the breeches with a simple black belt. Next up, the jacket. I slipped it on, and man, it really brought the whole thing together. The buttons looked great.

Accessories and Finishing Touches
I knew I needed some accessories to really complete the look. I dug through my jewelry box and found a silver chain with a cross pendant. Perfect! I also had a pair of black, slightly heeled boots that I thought would work well. No tall boots.
I tried on the boots, and they were just right. I also added a black ribbon tied loosely around my neck, like a cravat. I even considered a top hat, but I felt like that might be a bit much for a first try.
The Final Result!
I looked in the mirror, and honestly, I was pretty happy with how it turned out! It definitely had that gothic ouji vibe I was going for. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a great first attempt. I felt like I had stepped out of a Victorian-era vampire novel, in the best way possible. I took lots of the photos.

Next time, I might try to find a more elaborate vest or maybe even a jabot. And I’m definitely keeping my eye out for a cool top hat! This whole experience was super fun, and I can’t wait to experiment more with this style.
