Okay, here’s my experience trying out the “gothic lingerie” look:
So, I’ve been seeing this gothic lingerie trend all over my socials, and I was like, “Okay, I gotta try this.” I’m not usually super into the whole goth aesthetic, but some of these pieces looked really cool, and I wanted to see if I could pull it off.
The Hunt Begins
First things first, I needed to actually find some. I started by just browsing around, window shopping, you know? I looked at some online shops to get a feel for what’s out there. I quickly realised there’s, like, a HUGE range. You’ve got everything from super delicate lacy stuff to things that are way more… intense. Leather, buckles, the whole nine yards.
Making Some Choices
I’m not gonna lie, I was a little intimidated at first. I decided to start with something a bit more on the subtle side. I ended up getting a black lace bralette with some little velvet details and a matching high-waisted panty with some strappy bits. Nothing too crazy, but definitely a step outside my usual comfort zone.

The Try-On
Okay, so when the package arrived, I was pretty excited. I waited until I had the house to myself (important!), put on some music, and did the whole try-on thing. Putting it on, I felt…different. It definitely had a more edgy vibe than my usual cotton undies, that’s for sure!
- The Bralette: It fit pretty well! The lace was surprisingly soft, which was a relief. I wasn’t sure how comfortable it would be, but it was actually pretty good.
- The Panties: These were a little more daring with the straps and all. I had to adjust them a bit to get them to sit right, but once I did, they looked pretty cool.
The Final Verdict
Honestly? I kinda loved it. It felt like playing a character, in a good way. It wasn’t something I’d wear every day, but it definitely made me feel a bit more confident and, dare I say, a little badass. I even took a few selfies (for my eyes only, of course!).
I’m thinking I might explore this style a bit more. Maybe try something with a little more…hardware…next time. We’ll see! It was a fun little experiment, and I’m glad I stepped outside my usual style box. It just goes to show, you never know what you might like until you try it!
