Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “crystal tree throne” things pop up all over my Pinterest, and they look SO cool. I figured, why not try making one myself? It seemed like a fun weekend project, and honestly, I needed something to spruce up my living room.

First, I gathered all my materials. This took a bit of running around. I went to a couple of craft stores and even a gem show that happened to be in town. Here’s what I ended up with:
- A sturdy branch – I found this in my backyard, actually!
- Lots of different crystals – I chose a mix of amethyst, quartz, and rose quartz.
- Wire – I got some gold-colored wire that seemed strong enough.
- A hot glue gun – My trusty crafting companion.
- A base-I chose a thick block.
- Some moss – To add a little extra touch of nature.
The Messy Part (But Fun!)
I started,I cleaned the branch and made sure it was dry. Then, I laid out all my crystals and started playing around with different arrangements. This was the longest part, to be honest. I kept moving them around until I found a design I liked, kind of like a natural-looking, but still regal, throne shape.

Next, I started wrapping the crystals with wire. I just did a simple wrap around each one, making sure they were secure. It wasn’t pretty, but it did the job. Then, I attached the wired crystals to the branch. This involved a lot of twisting and adjusting, and a few accidental pokes from the wire, but I managed!
Once the crystals were all on, I used the hot glue gun to reinforce everything. I added a little dab of glue to each wire wrap, just to make sure nothing would fall off. I also glued the branch to that piece of wood to create a base, so it could stand on its own.
Finishing Touches
Finally, I added some moss around the base and at the bottom of the branch, just to hide the glue and make it look a bit more organic. I also tucked in a few smaller crystals among the moss. And… that was it!
It’s definitely not perfect. It’s a little wonky in places, and I probably used way too much hot glue. But, I’m pretty proud of it! It’s a unique piece, and it adds a nice touch of sparkle and whimsy to my living room. Plus, it was a fun way to spend a weekend. If you’re thinking about making one, I say go for it! Just be prepared for a little bit of trial and error.
