Alright, so I decided to finally tackle the Crystal Tree in RS3. I’ve heard it’s a decent way to get some passive gains, so I figured, why not give it a shot?

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to actually get access to the thing. I remember needing to finish “The Light Within” quest, and lucky me I had already done that a while back . That quest was a bit of a pain, so I’m glad I didn’t have to repeat it!
Next, I teleported to the Crwys district in Prifddinas. It is really easy to get there, so i had no problem with that!
Planting the Seed
I went to the “seed store” and bought a Crystal Acorn. So that I can planting it.

I found the crystal tree patch, and I right-clicked on the patch, select the “Plant” option, and choose my Crystal Acorn.
The Waiting Game
Now came the not-so-fun part: waiting. I can confirm that the tree takes a good long while to grow. It is around 4 days, It’s a set-it-and-forget-it kind of thing, at least at this stage.

Checking & Harvesting
I tried to add checking the tree to my daily routine when I logged in. I used a farming timer to give me a heads-up when it was time to go back.
After around 4 days and i came back to the tree, and it was fully grown!
And it is the time to have fun, Harvesting!
To harvest, I simply clicked on the tree. Each time I harvested, I got a bunch of crystal blossoms, and also some Farming XP, which was a nice bonus. I think the amount you get depends on your Farming level, but I could be wrong.
Using the Blossoms
So, what did I do with all those blossoms? Well, I found out you can turn them into a few different things, like crystal skillchompas, or teleport seeds. I mostly went for the skillchompas, as I thought they’d be the most useful for me.
My Overall Thoughts
Overall, I’d say the Crystal Tree is a pretty chill way to get some extra resources. It’s not going to make you rich overnight, but it’s a nice little passive income stream. Plus, it’s pretty low-effort once you get it set up. I’ll probably keep up with it, just because it’s so easy to maintain.
If you’re looking for something to do in your downtime, I would say the Crystal Tree is worth checking out!
