Alright, so I’ve been itching to get a new tattoo, and I’ve always been drawn to the whole witchcraft aesthetic. You know, moons, crystals, herbs, that kind of vibe. So, I figured, why not combine the two? Time for a deep dive into witchcraft tattoo ideas!
First things first, I needed inspiration. So I grabbed my phone and Started to browse lots of pictures.
- The Moon: This was a no-brainer. Different phases of the moon, a crescent moon with stars, a full moon behind some clouds…so many possibilities!
- Crystals: I love the look of amethyst, quartz, and even those darker, mysterious-looking crystals. I imagined them clustered together, maybe with some vines or flowers.
- Herbs and Plants: Lavender, rosemary, sage… all those witchy herbs that just scream magic. I thought about incorporating them into a wreath or maybe even a little potion bottle design.
- Symbols: The triple goddess symbol, the pentacle, even some simple runes. These could be small and subtle or incorporated into a larger piece.
- Animals: I am a cat * a black cat is necessary!
After I had a bunch of ideas swirling around in my head, I started to browse to see what style I am into. I mean, do I want something realistic? Something more illustrative? Black and grey, or full color? Turns out, I’m really into that fine-line, almost delicate look. It feels magical and mysterious, which is exactly the vibe I’m going for.
Now, the fun part: finding an artist! A tattoo artist is very * have to find the one that has the same style and vibe.
The tattooing process itself was… well, it hurt, obviously! But it was totally worth it. Seeing the design come to life on my skin was amazing. We started with the outline, which was the most intense part, then moved on to the shading and details. I love the final result!
