Okay, so I was messing around on Reddit today, specifically diving into the world of “witchcraft.” I’ve always been a little curious, you know? So, I figured, why not see what people are actually talking about.
First Steps on Reddit
First thing I did was just type “witchcraft” into the Reddit search bar. Boom. Tons of subreddits popped up. I started with the biggest one, figuring it would be the most active. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest. Lots of posts, lots of different topics, and a whole bunch of terminology I didn’t understand.
Reading and Getting Lost
I spent a good hour just scrolling through posts. People were sharing their experiences, asking for advice, showing off their altars, and talking about spells. There was a lot of talk about crystals, herbs, and different deities. I felt like I was in way over my head. I started to click random posts. Some were really interesting like I tried to read some of their posts.
Asking My Dumb Question
Then, feeling a bit brave (or maybe just foolish), I decided to post a question. I kept it super simple: “Total newbie here. What’s a good way to even start learning about witchcraft?” I figured it was a dumb question, but hey, everyone starts somewhere, right?

Waiting and…Surprise!
I closed my laptop and did it. And, surprisingly, people were actually helpful! I got a bunch of replies with recommendations for books, websites, and even some YouTube channels. Some people suggested starting with meditation and mindfulness, others recommended learning about different types of herbs and their uses. I even had some people recommend me to read books about witchcraft.
Taking Notes and Feeling Hopeful
I grabbed a notebook and started jotting down all the suggestions. It was a lot of information, but it felt less overwhelming than before. I had some actual starting points! I still have no idea what most of this stuff means, but at least I have a direction now. I think I might actually try some of the meditation exercises they suggested. Baby steps, right?
Next Steps
My plan now is to pick one or two of the resources that were recommended and just…start. I’m not expecting to become a witch overnight (or ever, really), but I’m curious to learn more. It’s like exploring a whole new world, and honestly, it’s kind of exciting.

So, that’s my Reddit witchcraft adventure for today. Total newbie, still clueless, but at least I’m pointing my broomstick in a direction, even if I don’t know where it is yet.
