Okay, so I’ve been seeing this gothic lingerie trend all over my socials, and I finally decided to give it a shot. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little intimidated at first, but it turned out to be way more fun than I expected!
Finding the Pieces
First things first, I needed to find the actual lingerie. I spent a good few hours just browsing different styles. There’s a ton of variety out there, which is both awesome and a little overwhelming.
- Corsets: So many options! Steel-boned, overbust, underbust… I ended up going with a simpler black underbust one, figuring it would be more versatile.
- Bras & Panties: I wanted something that felt a bit more “everyday” gothic, so I looked for sets with lace and maybe some strappy details. I found a really cute set with little velvet bows.
- Stockings & Garters: These felt essential to the whole look. I went with classic black fishnets and a simple garter belt.
- Accessories: I debated adding a choker or some other jewelry, but in the end, I kept it pretty minimal.
Putting it All Together
Once I had all the pieces, it was time to try everything on. I started with the basics – the bra and panty set. The lace felt surprisingly soft, which was a nice bonus. Then came the stockings and garter belt. Honestly, getting the stockings clipped in took a little practice, but I figured it out!
The corset was the trickiest part. I had to loosen the laces all the way to get it on, and then slowly tighten them up. I definitely recommend having someone help you with this if possible, but I managed to do it myself after a few tries. It’s important to not over-tighten it. I wanted that classic gothic silhouette, but I also wanted to, you know, breathe.

The Final Look
Once I had everything on, I took a look in the mirror. I have to admit, I felt pretty badass. The whole outfit was surprisingly comfortable, and it definitely gave me a confidence boost. It wasn’t just about looking “sexy” – it felt more like a fun, empowering way to express a different side of myself.
I played around with some different poses and lighting. I even put on some dark, atmospheric music to really get into the vibe. I ended up taking a bunch of photos, some for myself, and some to…well, you know.
Overall, this was a really fun experiment! It’s definitely something I’d do again, and I might even try incorporating some of the pieces into my everyday outfits – maybe the corset over a dress, or the garter belt with a skirt. If you’re curious about gothic lingerie, I say go for it! Just remember to have fun and find pieces that make you feel good.
