Okay, so I’ve been seeing these gothic lingerie dresses all over my feed, and I finally decided to give it a try. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little intimidated at first, but it turned out to be way easier than I thought!

First, I gathered my materials. I already had a basic black slip dress that I wasn’t wearing much, so I decided to use that as my base. Then I went to the craft store and picked up some black lace trim, some ribbon, and a few little charms – I found some tiny silver crosses that I thought would be perfect.
The Fun Part: Putting It All Together
I started by pinning the lace trim around the neckline and the hem of the dress. I’m not the best at sewing, so I just did a really simple running stitch. I mean, who’s gonna be looking that close anyway, right?
- Pinning: This took the longest, making sure everything was even.
- Sewing: Slow and steady, just a basic stitch.
- Adding Ribbon:Used to sinch and added design.
After the lace, I added some ribbon.I used it and created a corset in front of the dress.

Finally, I sewed on the little cross charms. I put a few on the straps and one right in the center of the neckline. I think they add a little bit of extra detail, you know?
And that’s it! Seriously, it was so much easier than I expected. I wore it out to a party last weekend, and I got so many compliments. I felt amazing in it, too! It’s definitely a look I’m going to be rocking more often.
It’s a look and I like it, I felt great and got it done with no issues.
