Okay, so I’ve been seeing these black crystal bracelets everywhere lately, and I finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and make my own. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little intimidated at first, but it turned out to be way easier than I thought!

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to gather my supplies. I hit up my local craft store – you know, the one with all the beads and sparkly things. I grabbed:
- Black crystal beads: I went with some faceted ones, ’cause I like a little extra shine. They had different sizes, so I picked a size that looked good to me. Nothing fancy here just to get it done is ok.
- Stretch cord: This is the magic stuff that makes it a bracelet and not just a pile of beads. Make sure it’s strong enough, though, don’t go too thin or it may broke!
- Scissors: Pretty self-explanatory, right? for cutting the cord.
- (Optional) A bead board: This is just a little tray with measurements that helps you plan out your design. I skipped this, ’cause I’m a rebel. Just put it on the table.
Stringing the Beads
Alright, time to get down to business. I cut a length of the stretch cord – longer than I thought I needed, just in case. Better to have extra than to run out, you know?
Then, I just started stringing the beads onto the cord. I didn’t really have a pattern in mind, I just went with what felt right. You could totally do a pattern, though! Like, maybe alternate between different sizes or colors of beads. Go wild!

I kept adding beads until it looked like it would fit my wrist comfortably. You can hold it up to your wrist to check, but don’t tie it off yet!
Tying It Off
This is probably the trickiest part, but it’s still not that hard. I made a simple square knot. It’s like tying your shoelaces, but you do it twice. Pull it really tight, so it doesn’t come undone. You might want to practice this knot a few times on some scrap cord before you do it on your bracelet.
Once I was sure the knot was secure, I trimmed the excess cord with my scissors. Leave a little bit of a tail, though – don’t cut it too close to the knot, or it might unravel. And, that is it! Just put it on.
And that’s it! I had my very own black crystal bracelet. Honestly, it took me, like, maybe 30 minutes? And it looks pretty darn good, if I do say so myself. Plus, I saved a bunch of money by making it myself instead of buying one. Win-win!
