Next, I rummaged through my own closet. I pulled out anything that seemed remotely relevant: a black lace top, a long black skirt, some old cowboy boots I forgot I owned. I even snuck into my mom’s closet (don’t tell her!) and borrowed a vintage-looking belt with a big, ornate buckle.
