Plus Size Ladies Gothic Clothing: Shop Goth Dresses and Tops | GothicStyle.online

Well, howdy there, y’all! Today, we’re gonna yak about somethin’ called “ladies gothic clothing”. I ain’t no fancy scholar or nothin’, but I’ll tell ya what I know, the way I know it.

What in tarnation is “gothic clothing” anyway?

Now, from what I gather, this “gothic” stuff ain’t your grandma’s Sunday best, that’s for sure. It’s all about lookin’ dark and mysterious, like somethin’ outta them spooky movies. Think black, lots and lots of black. And not just plain black, mind you. We’re talkin’ black velvet, black lace, black leather, maybe even some shiny black stuff, like what them fancy cars are made of.

  • Dresses: Them gothic dresses, they ain’t like the ones we used to wear to the church social. They’re long and flowy, sometimes with them tight-fittin’ tops that cinch ya in at the waist. And the sleeves! Lord have mercy, some of ’em got sleeves that look like bat wings, all big and pointy.
  • Corsets: Now, these things, they look like somethin’ you’d strap on a horse, but I guess them city gals wear ’em to make their waists look itty-bitty. They got laces and hooks and all sorts of contraptions. Seems like a lot of trouble if you ask me.
  • Tops and Skirts: You got your black tops, your black skirts, and sometimes they got rips and tears and all sorts of decorations. Some of ’em got them fishnet things, like what the fishermen use, but on their arms or legs. I tell ya, these young folks and their fashions!
  • Shoes: Them gothic shoes, they ain’t made for walkin’ in the cornfields, that’s for darn sure. They got big thick soles, like you could stomp on a bug and it wouldn’t even feel it. And some of ’em got buckles and straps and all sorts of shiny metal bits.

Who wears this “gothic” stuff?

Well, I reckon it ain’t for everybody. Seems like the young folks are the ones who take to it most. You know, the ones who like to listen to that loud, thumpin’ music and stay up all night. They say it’s a way to express themselves, to show they’re different. But to me, it just looks like they’re tryin’ to scare the crows.

Where do you even find this “gothic clothing”?

Now, back in my day, you either made your clothes or you bought ’em at the general store. But these days, these youngsters got all sorts of places to buy their fancy duds. I heard tell there’s stores that specialize in just this “gothic” stuff. And then there’s that “internet” thingamajig, where you can buy just about anything, from anywhere, anytime. Lord have mercy, it’s a whole new world out there.

Is it comfortable?

Well, lookin’ at all them layers and straps and buckles, I gotta say it don’t look too comfortable to me. And all that black, on a hot summer day? Whew, you’d be sweatin’ like a pig in a poke. But I guess if you wanna look “gothic”, you gotta suffer a little for fashion.

Can anybody wear it?

Well, I reckon you can wear whatever you darn well please. Ain’t nobody gonna stop ya. But this “gothic” stuff, it’s got a certain look to it, you know? And if you ain’t got that look, well, you might just look like you raided the dress-up box. But hey, if it makes you happy, go for it, I say. Life’s too short to worry about what other folks think.

Is it expensive?

Now, that’s a good question. I reckon some of it is, and some of it ain’t. You can probably find some cheap “gothic” stuff at them discount stores, but if you want the real deal, the fancy stuff with all the bells and whistles, well, you’re gonna have to shell out some serious cash. But then again, ain’t that the way with most things in life? You get what you pay for, as they say.

Final thoughts on this here “gothic clothing”:

Well, it ain’t my cup of tea, that’s for sure. But to each their own, I always say. If them youngsters wanna dress up like vampires and witches, well, let ’em. It ain’t hurtin’ nobody. And who knows, maybe it’s just a phase. Maybe one day they’ll all wake up and decide they wanna wear overalls and gingham dresses like the rest of us. But until then, I reckon we’ll just have to get used to seein’ them all dolled up in their black finery.

So there you have it, my two cents on this “ladies gothic clothing”. Hope I made some sense, even though I ain’t no expert. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
