Okay, so I’ve been totally obsessed with gothic fashion lately, and I really wanted to find some cool tops to add to my wardrobe. I’m not talking about the super cliché stuff, you know? I wanted something that felt a little more unique and, like, me. So I started my hunt…
Digging Through the Internet
First, I just started by hitting up some usual online stores, typing in just simple word “gothic fashion tops”. I have to filter the word what I need, because there are just simple “black tops” or “long sleeve”. I was searching for something special, or never seen on usual.
My Treasure Finds!
I spent so many days to search my ideal tops. Scrolling and scrolling… Then, I saw some good items.
- One had this amazing Victorian-inspired lace detailing on the sleeves. Super dramatic, but still wearable, you know?
- I found another one that was more of a fitted black velvet. It had these subtle little crosses embroidered around the neckline. Very understated, but still with that dark vibe.
- And then I found the best one. Mesh fabric, many chains, like a rock star.
Trying Them On & Styling
When my tops arrived, I was so excited. The lace one, I paired it with a high-waisted black skirt and some chunky boots. It looked amazing. So romantic and dark. The velvet one, I wore with some ripped black jeans and a silver chain belt – it felt a little more casual, but still edgy.
And finally, the mesh one. It is very hard to put it on, but I did! So many chains, hard to understand where is top and bottom. With skinny jeans, and many rings on fingers, looks so cool! My friends said I am a member of rock band.
Final Thoughts
Honestly, it took a while to find exactly what I was looking for. And after I wore it, I feel that it looks nice, but too much for me. I want something dark and elegant, but not too much “rock”. Maybe next time I should check out some smaller, independent shops instead. It’s all part of the fun, though! The hunt is almost as good as actually wearing the clothes.
