Okay, so today I decided to dive into the lyrics of “Witchcraft”. I’ve always loved the song, but I never really got the lyrics, you know? So I figured, why not finally figure out what this song is all about?
First things first, I fired up my music player and put “Witchcraft” on repeat. Gotta get that tune stuck in my head, right? Then, I opened up a new document on my computer to jot down what I heard.
I played the song, line by line, pausing and rewinding like a madman. I Started with the first verse, trying to catch every single word.
- First attempt: “Those fingers in my hair…that sly come hither stare.” Okay, got that down.
- Second attempt: This part was tricky, something about “fair…bewitches.” Rewind, replay… “that strips my conscience bare!” Got it!
- Third attempt:And the chorus was easy, It’s the name of the song.

I kept going like this, verse by verse, chorus by chorus. Sometimes I had to listen to a line five or six times to really get it. My handwriting is atrocious, by the way, so I was typing everything out to make sure I could actually read it later.
After the First Run-Through
I tried to do with my hearing, I had a document full of what I thought were the lyrics. But honestly, there were still some gaps. Some lines were just mumbled, or the music was too loud, or my ears just weren’t cooperating.
So, I use the search engine, Time to cheat a little! I searched for “Witchcraft lyrics” and boom, a bunch of websites popped up. I picked one that looked legit and compared it to my own notes.
Turns out, I got a lot of it right! But there were definitely some words I messed up. Like, I thought he was saying “magic potion,” but it was actually”It’s Witchcraft”. Makes sense, I guess.
Filling in the Gaps
I went through my document, correcting my mistakes and filling in the blanks. It was like putting together a puzzle. A very lyrical, slightly confusing puzzle.
Finally, after all that listening, typing, and searching, I had a complete set of lyrics! I felt like a real detective, cracking the code of the song.
Now, whenever I listen to “Witchcraft,” I can actually sing along without mumbling through the parts I don’t know. And I appreciate the song even more, now that I understand what it’s all about. It’s about the power of attraction, how someone can just completely captivate you, like magic. Pretty cool, huh?

So, that’s my little adventure for today. Might not be the most exciting thing in the world, but it was fun for me. And now I have a new appreciation for a classic song. Maybe I’ll tackle another song tomorrow. We’ll see!
