Okay, so I’ve been totally obsessed with Victorian Gothic fashion lately. It’s just so dramatic and romantic, you know? I decided I wanted to really dive in and learn everything I could about it, so here’s how I went about it.

First, I hit up Google. Just a basic search for “Victorian Gothic fashion history”. I scrolled through a bunch of articles and blog posts to get a general feel for the era and the style.

Then I started to notice some recurring themes:

  • Heavy fabrics, like velvet and brocade, seemed to be popular.
  • There was a lot of emphasis on the silhouette, with tight corsets and full skirts.
  • Accessories were a big deal, like lace gloves, chokers, and cameos.

Finally,I try to recreate some Victorian Gothic looks. I don’t have a sewing machine,So I Started with accessories.I found a black velvet choker and a pair of lace gloves at a vintage shop.I think it really does look amazing!
