Okay, here’s my blog post about making a pyrite crystal bracelet, written from my personal experience and keeping it casual and easy to understand:
So, I’ve been seeing these pyrite bracelets everywhere, and they’re supposed to be good for attracting abundance and prosperity. Plus, they look pretty cool, all sparkly and gold-toned. I figured, why not try making my own? I love a good DIY project, and this seemed simple enough.
Gathering My Supplies
First things first, I needed to get my materials together. I hopped online and found some pyrite beads. I went for the smaller, faceted ones because I like a bit of extra shimmer. I got a string with a total 7 inches.
Also use some other materials:

- Elastic Cord: I picked up some clear elastic cord – make sure it’s strong enough to hold the beads!
- Scissors: Obviously, to cut the cord.
- Bead Stopper or Clip: This is optional, but it helps keep the beads from sliding off the end while you’re working.
Getting Started: The Stringing Process
I started by cutting a length of the elastic cord. I made it a bit longer than my wrist size, just to give myself some extra room to tie the knot later. I think I cut about 10 inches, just to be safe.
Then I had to plan out my design, I just put all beads I like.
Finishing Up: Knotting and Securing
Once all the beads were on, it was time to tie the knot. Now, this part was a little tricky. I learned from past projects that you can’t just tie a regular old knot with elastic cord – it’ll slip right out. I used some videos from YouTube and tried the surgeon’s knot, which seemed easy.

I pulled the knot really tight, making sure it was nice and secure. Then, I trimmed the excess cord, leaving just a tiny bit. And that’s it. The bracelet is all ready.
I wear my new pyrite bracelet. It looks great, and whether or not it brings me riches, I had a blast making it!
