Okay, so I’ve been seeing these herkimer crystal bracelets everywhere lately, and I finally caved. I mean, they’re supposed to be good for clarity and energy, and who couldn’t use a little more of that, right? Plus, they’re just pretty. So, I decided to make my own!

Gathering My Supplies
First things first, I needed the goods. I hopped online and started searching. I grabbed:
- Herkimer diamonds: I found a seller with a good variety of sizes. I wanted some smaller ones and a few bigger ones for variety.
- Beading wire: Gotta string those babies on something! I went with a flexible, strong wire.
- Crimp beads and a clasp: These are essential for finishing the bracelet and making sure it stays on my wrist.
- Pliers: My trusty jewelry-making pliers were ready for action. I use a flat one and use round-nose.
Getting Started
I started the project.
I laid out all my Herkimer diamonds on a soft cloth. This helped me visualize the pattern I wanted and also prevented them from rolling all over the place. They’re so small, it made the arranging process easy for my eyes!

Stringing the Beads
Next up, I cut a length of beading wire that was a few inches longer than my wrist size. I was sure to give extra length.
I started stringing the Herkimer diamonds onto the wire. I played around with the order, mixing up the sizes and trying different arrangements until I liked the look of it.
Adding the Clasp
Once all the crystals were on, it was time to add the clasp. I used a small, simple lobster clasp because I didn’t want anything too bulky that would take away from the crystals.
I used my pliers to put on the clasp.

- First I strung the crimp bead and then the clasp.
- Next, I made a loop with the wire by putting the wire through the crimp bead.
- Then, I used my flat-nose pliers to squish the crimp bead flat, securing the clasp in place.
I repeated the same process on the other end of the bracelet, attaching the other part of the clasp.
The Finished Product!
And… that’s it! My very own Herkimer crystal bracelet. It turned out even better than I expected. It’s sparkly, delicate, and feels really good to wear. I’ve been wearing it for a few days now, and while I can’t say for sure if it’s magically boosted my energy levels, I definitely feel a little more put-together when I have it on. Maybe it’s just the placebo effect, but hey, I’ll take it! And it looks really good with my outfits, too.
