Okay, so I’ve been totally obsessed with the idea of a gothic wedding lately. Not in a creepy way, but more like… darkly romantic, you know? And the dress is EVERYTHING. So, I started diving into this whole “gothic wedding dresses” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey!
First, I scoured the internet. Just typed it into the search bar and went down the rabbit hole. I looked at so many pictures, it was insane.
My Inspiration Hunt
- I started with basic searches, just to get a feel for the different styles.
- Then, I refined my searches. I was adding words like “victorian,” “lace,” “black,” and “burgundy” to see what popped up.
- I saved a TON of images. Seriously, my phone is overflowing with screenshots of amazing dresses.
Figuring Out My Style
After looking at all those pictures, I started to notice some patterns in what I liked. I definitely leaned towards dresses with lots of lace. And I really loved the ones that had a bit of a vintage feel, like something out of a classic movie.
I also realized I was not at all feeling a simple style dress . I am more a fan of the dramatic and detailed ones. I found that some are too costumey, like something you’d wear for Halloween,That is not what I wanted.

Making it Happen
Based on my findings, I have decided to seek a dressmaker. I collected pictures of all my favorite features and created my own style.
So, that’s where I’m at! It’s been a super fun process so far. I mean, who doesn’t love looking at gorgeous dresses? I’ll keep everyone posted on my progress!
