Okay, so I’ve been wanting to make one of those gorgeous Swarovski crystal trees I’ve seen online. You know, the ones that sparkle like crazy and look super fancy? Well, I finally decided to give it a shot. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey, but totally worth it!
Gathering Supplies
First things first, I needed to get my hands on some supplies. Here’s a simplified list for your reference:
- Crystals: I went for a mix of different sizes and colors.
- Wire: I use some bendy, but strong, wire.
- Tree Base:I got a small, plain tree base.
- Pliers: Wire cutters and some needle-nose pliers were essential.
- Glue:A strong, clear-drying glue.
Starting the Branches
I started by cutting the wire into different lengths. I wanted some longer branches and some shorter ones to give the tree some shape. Then, I took one piece of wire and started stringing on the crystals.
I found the easiest, secured the crystals on branches is use glue.

Building the Tree
Once I had a bunch of branches ready, I started attaching them to the tree base. This was where the needle-nose pliers really came in handy. I wrapped the wire around the base and used the pliers to twist it tight. Then, I started adding more and more branches, working my way up and around the base.
Shaping and Fluffing
As I added branches, I made sure to bend and shape them so the tree looked full and, well, like a tree! This part took some time and patience. I kept stepping back to look at it from different angles to make sure it was balanced and not too lopsided. I even fluffed out some of the branches to make them look more natural.
The Final Touches
Once I was happy with the shape, I went back and added a few extra crystals here and there, just to fill in any gaps and add some extra sparkle. Then, I let the whole thing dry, I have my own, handmade Swarovski crystal tree. It’s so sparkly and pretty, and I’m super proud of how it turned out!

This project took a few hours, and it definitely got a little messy with the glue, but seeing the finished tree, I was very happy!
