Okay, here’s my blog post about making a crystal bracelet for men, written in a casual, personal style:
So, I’ve been seeing these crystal bracelets popping up everywhere, and honestly, most of them looked kinda… dainty. Not really my style, or the style of most guys I know. But I was intrigued by the idea – I liked the different colors and textures of the stones. So I thought, “Why not try making one myself, but, you know, manlier?”
First thing I did was hit up a local bead store. I felt a little out of place, surrounded by, like, glitter and tiny flower beads. But I pushed through! I spent a good hour just wandering around, picking up different stones and holding them next to each other. I was looking for something that felt earthy and strong, not too flashy.
I ended up grabbing a few different types of beads:

- Some dark brown wooden beads – these were my “base,” I guess. They felt grounded and natural.
- A handful of hematite beads. These are like, a dark metallic gray. They have a nice weight to them, too, which I liked.
- A few tiger’s eye beads – these are the ones with that cool, shimmery brown and gold pattern. They added a little something extra without being too over the top.
- A few lava rock beads.
Next up: the string. I didn’t want anything flimsy, so I went with some thicker, black elastic cord. The lady at the store showed me how to measure my wrist and add a few extra inches for tying the knot. Seemed simple enough.
Actually stringing the beads was the easiest part. I didn’t really follow a specific pattern. I just kinda played around with the order until I liked how it looked. I started with a few wooden beads, then added a hematite, then a tiger’s eye, then more wood, and so on. I made sure to mix it up so it wasn’t too symmetrical. I made by feel.
The trickiest part? Tying the knot at the end. I watched a couple of YouTube videos beforehand, and it still took me a few tries to get it right. I used a surgeon’s knot, which is supposed to be pretty strong. I tugged on it pretty hard to make sure it wouldn’t come undone. I don’t want to lose my beads!

The Final Result
I’m actually pretty stoked with how it turned out! It’s definitely got that masculine vibe I was going for. It feels substantial on my wrist, and the colors are perfect – not too showy, but still interesting. I’ve been wearing it for a few days now, and I’ve gotten a couple of compliments, which is always nice. And, it did not broke!
It wasn’t a hard project at all. If you’re thinking about trying to make your own, I say go for it! Just pick out some beads that speak to you, grab some sturdy cord, and don’t be afraid to experiment. It’s a fun way to add a little personal touch to your style.
