How to Style a Goth Lingerie Dress: Tips for Bold, Wearable Looks

Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “goth lingerie dress” things all over my social media feeds, and, like, I had to try one. I’m not even super goth, but the aesthetic is just so cool, you know?

Finding the Right One

First step, obviously, was finding a dress. This took, I swear, forever. I spent hours scrolling, trying to find something that was both cute and, like, wearable. A lot of the stuff I found was either way too costumey or just… not my style. I wanted something I could maybe, possibly wear out, not just for photos, haha.

The Big Try-On

Finally, I found one! It was a black, lacy thing with a sort of babydoll shape. I immediately ordered it. When it arrived, I ripped open that package so fast. I slipped it on and… wow. I felt like a total badass.

Accessorizing is Key

The dress was cute on its own, but I knew I needed to amp it up. I grabbed my favorite chunky black boots – gotta have the boots. Then, I added a silver chain belt to cinch the waist a bit and give it some more shape. For jewelry, I went with a bunch of silver rings and a long, layered necklace with a little cross pendant.

Makeup Time!

No goth look is complete without the right makeup. I’m no makeup artist, but I did my best. I went for a classic smoky eye – lots of black eyeshadow, smudged out, you know the drill. Then, I added some winged eyeliner (which took, like, five tries to get even, ugh). For lips, I debated between a dark red and black, and eventually went with black. It just felt right.

Posing and Pics

Now, the fun part! I set up my phone on a tripod and started taking pictures. I tried a bunch of different poses – some serious, some a little more playful. It was actually kind of awkward at first, but I got into it after a while. The lighting was crucial, too. I wanted that moody, slightly dark vibe, so I turned off the overhead lights and used a lamp with a warm-toned bulb.

The Final Result

Honestly, I was pretty happy with how it turned out! It’s definitely a look, and maybe not something I’d wear to, like, the grocery store, but it was super fun to put together. I posted a few pics, and my friends loved it. Would I do it again? Totally!
