Okay, so I’ve been seeing these crystal bracelets everywhere lately, and I finally decided to try making my own. I’m not gonna lie, it looked a little intimidating at first, but it turned out to be way easier than I thought!
Getting Started
First, I gathered all my supplies. I went to this cute little bead shop downtown – total treasure trove! – and picked out some crystal beads that I liked. I chose some rose quartz (for love, you know?), amethyst (for calming vibes), and clear quartz (because it’s pretty). I also grabbed some stretchy string, some crimp beads, and some crimping pliers. I already had some regular pliers at home.
The Beading Process
I started by cutting a length of the stretchy string. I made it a bit longer than I thought I needed, just in case. Then, I started stringing the beads. I didn’t really have a pattern in mind, I just went with what felt right. I mixed the different crystals, added some smaller spacer beads I found, and just played around until I liked the look.
- Cut the stretchy string (longer is better!).
- String your beads! Get creative!
Finishing Touches
Once I had all the beads on, I needed to secure the ends. This is where the crimp beads and crimping pliers came in. I slipped a crimp bead onto one end of the string, then looped the string back through the crimp bead, creating a little loop. Then, I used the crimping pliers to squish the crimp bead really tight, securing the string. I did the same thing on the other side, to complete my bracelet. Then I used regular pliers snip the excess string from both sides, making it neat and tidy.

And that’s it! Seriously, it was so simple. I’m already planning my next one. Maybe I’ll try a different color scheme, or even try making a matching necklace. If I can do it, anyone can!
