Gothic Girls: Beyond the Stereotypes, a Look at Their Unique Style

Gothic Girls: Beyond the Stereotypes, a Look at Their Unique Style | GiothcStyle.online

Alright, so, you wanna know about these “gothic girls,” huh? I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I’ve seen a thing or two, and I can tell ya what I reckon they’re all about.

What do they look like? Well, mostly they like black clothes. Lots and lots of black. Like they raided a funeral home or somethin’. But it ain’t just plain black, ya know? They got all sorts of fancy stuff going on – lace, buckles, boots that look like they could stomp a hole in the ground. Some folks say it’s kinda spooky, but I think some of it looks right pretty, in a dark sort of way. You can find all sorts of pictures online, just search for “female goth” or “gothic girls images”. They got tons of ’em, all dolled up in their black finery. High-quality pictures too, they say, whatever that means.

What kind of music do they listen to? They call it “emo” music, I hear. Sounds kinda sad and whiny to me, but to each their own, I guess. It’s all guitars and drums and somebody yellin’ about how the world ain’t fair. Reminds me a bit of my old rooster when he didn’t get his breakfast on time.

Are they all sad and depressed? Now, that’s what some folks say. They reckon these girls are all mopin’ around, thinkin’ about death and whatnot. And maybe some of ’em are, sure. But I seen plenty of ’em laughin’ and havin’ a good time too. Just ’cause a girl likes black clothes and spooky music don’t mean she’s miserable. They’re just folks, same as anyone else. Some are quiet, some are loud, some are happy, some are sad. It’s like a hen house, ya got all sorts in there.

Are they into weird stuff? Well, some of ’em are into that “occult” stuff, they say. Witchcraft and ghosts and whatnot. I ain’t sure I believe in all that, but it ain’t hurtin’ nobody, I reckon. And some of ’em like stories about vampires and werewolves and such. Just like them Scooby-Doo cartoons my grandkids watch, only maybe a bit scarier. They even got them goth girls in those Scooby-Doo shows sometimes, so they must be popular.

  • Dating a Goth Girl: Now, I ain’t got no experience with that, mind you. But I hear tell that if you wanna get to know a goth girl, you gotta be respectful. Treat her like a lady, just like you would any other girl. Don’t go makin’ fun of her clothes or her music, or she’ll set you straight, I betcha. They might seem a bit stand-offish at first, but they’re just people. If you’re friendly and respectful, you’ll be just fine. And they like to date other goth folks too, so maybe you gotta dress up in black yourself if you wanna catch their eye.
  • Finding Goth Girls: Well, like I said, they got tons of pictures online. But if you wanna meet one in person, you gotta go where they hang out. Maybe a concert, or a dark-themed club. Or maybe just down at the general store, you never know! They’re everywhere these days, seems like.
  • The Bad Side: I seen some things online, not so good. Some sites with goth girls, they ain’t for polite company, let me tell ya. Stuff that’d make a preacher blush. So you gotta be careful out there, stick to the nice stuff, the pictures and the music and whatnot. Don’t go lookin’ for trouble, and trouble won’t find you.

So, that’s about all I know about these gothic girls. They ain’t so different from anyone else, really. They just like what they like, and they dress how they wanna dress. And ain’t nothin’ wrong with that, far as I can see. They are creative and got their own style. Just be respectful and treat ’em like people, and you’ll be alright.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed them chickens. They get mighty cranky if they ain’t fed on time, just like them emo singers, I reckon.
