Best Witchcraft Herbs? Find the Right Ones for Your Spells

Witchcraft Herbs for Beginners: Simple DIY Rituals with Rosemary & Sage

Okay, here’s my blog post about my “witchcraft herbs” experiment, written in a casual, personal style:

So, I got really into this whole “witchcraft herbs” thing lately. It all started with a random video I saw online, and I just fell down the rabbit hole. I’ve always liked plants and gardening, so it felt like a natural extension of that. Plus, who doesn’t want a little extra magic in their life?

Getting Started

First, I gathered some basic info. There are tons of websites and books about this stuff, but I wanted to keep it simple. I picked a few common herbs that seemed easy to find and work with: Rosemary, Lavender, Mint, and Sage. I’m sure I don’t know how to choose special ones.

  • Rosemary: For remembrance and protection, apparently. I’ve always loved the smell.
  • Lavender: For calm and peace. Makes sense, it’s in all those sleep sprays.
  • Mint: For prosperity and good luck. Who couldn’t use more of that?
  • Sage: For cleansing and purification. I wanted to get rid of any bad vibes.

My Little Experiment

I didn’t want to do anything too complicated. I’m no expert, just a curious beginner. So, I decided to make a few simple things:

I dried some of the rosemary and lavender. I just tied them in small bunches and hung them upside down in my kitchen. It actually looked pretty cute, and the whole place smelled amazing.

I made a little sachet with the dried lavender. I just put some in a small cloth bag and tied it with a ribbon. I put it under my pillow, hoping for some peaceful sleep.

I also, used a sage bundle. It also called “smudge stick”. I’ve read on some websites. I have never seen it before I bought on line. I lighted the sage and let the smoke fill my apartment. It had a strong, earthy smell. I don’t know. I think it did make the air feel a bit… lighter?

What I Found

Okay, so did it work? Did I suddenly become a powerful witch? Not exactly. But I did enjoy the process. It was relaxing and fun to work with the herbs, and it made my apartment smell great. Maybe It’s good to do this sometimes.

I think the lavender sachet did help me sleep a bit better. Or maybe it was just the placebo effect. Either way, I’ll take it! And the sage “cleansing” felt like a nice ritual, even if I can’t say for sure if it banished any negative energy.

Overall, it was a fun little experiment. I’m definitely going to keep exploring this stuff. Maybe I’ll try growing some more herbs, or try making some herbal teas or something. It’s a nice way to connect with nature and add a little bit of something special to my everyday routine. I’ll try other herbs next time, or maybe, find more ways to use these four herbs.
