Alright, so I’ve been meaning to put together a list of movies about witchcraft, and today I finally got around to it. It’s not as easy as it sounds, you know? There are tons of movies out there, but I wanted some good ones, not just any old flick with a witch in it.
My Little Journey on Finding Witchcraft Movies
First, I started with a simple search. Just typed in “movies about witchcraft” and, wow, did I get a lot of results. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest.
So, I decided to narrow it down. I thought about what I really wanted. I was looking for movies that really explore the topic, maybe some that show different aspects of witchcraft, not just the spooky, scary stuff.
- I started looking through some of the top results, reading reviews and summaries.
- Some of them seemed okay, but a lot of them were just… cheesy. Or too focused on horror, which isn’t really my thing.
- Then I started checking out some film forums and discussion boards. I figured people there might have some good recommendations.
It took a bit of digging, but I found a few interesting titles. Some were older movies I’d never heard of, and some were more recent ones. I made a list of the ones that seemed promising.

I even watched a few trailers to get a better feel for them. Some of them looked really intriguing! Others, not so much. It’s all about taste, I guess.
I managed to watch a few movies from the list and took down notes, good and bad sides.
Finally, I managed to put together a pretty decent list. It’s not exhaustive, of course, but it’s a good starting point. I feel like I’ve got a good mix of different types of movies, all exploring witchcraft in their own way.

It was definitely a fun project! More time-consuming than I expected, but fun. It’s always cool to dive into a topic and see what you can find. And now I have a bunch of movies to watch!
