Okay, so I wanted to try out this “male trad goth” look. I’d seen some pictures online and thought it looked pretty cool, a bit different from my usual style. So, I figured, why not give it a shot?
Getting Started
First, I dug through my closet. I already had some black clothes, which is like, goth 101, right? I found a black button-down shirt, some black jeans that were kinda ripped (accidentally, but hey, it works!), and a black belt.
The Details
- Shirt: I went with the black button-down, but I left the top couple of buttons undone, to make it a little less… formal.
- Pants: The ripped black jeans felt right. I didn’t want anything too clean-cut.
- Belt:Just used my plain, every day use black belt.
- Shoes: This was easy. My old, beat-up black boots. Perfect.
The Makeup (This Was New For Me)
I don’t usually wear makeup, so this was the biggest experiment. I watched a couple of YouTube videos—nothing too crazy, just some basic stuff.
I bought some low price white foundation from the drug store to make it a little bit pale.

- Used some black eyeliner. Man, that stuff is tricky! I poked myself in the eye like, three times. Finally got a মোটামুটি (that means “okay” in my language) line going on both eyes.
- I skipped the mascara,it’s too hard for me.
- No lipstick, used my black lip balm.
Putting It All Together
I put on the clothes, did the eyeliner thing, and checked myself out in the mirror. It was… different. Definitely darker than what I’m used to. I felt a little bit like a vampire, but in a good way? I don’t know, it was kinda cool.
The Verdict
I wore the outfit out to a coffee shop, just to see how it felt in the real world. I got a couple of looks, but nobody said anything. Honestly, I mostly just felt… different. It was like trying on a new personality for a bit.

Would I do it again? Maybe. It was fun to step outside my comfort zone. I definitely need more practice with the eyeliner, though! It’s interesting.
